Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen perennial, H, 2n=44, tetraploid mesic, nemoral European (nemoral) Symphito-Fagion, Origanetalia, Adenostyletalia, Alnenion glutinoso-incanae, Molinion R41, rarer in R42 and in the R37 nearby forests.     The most common Gentiana species from the flora of Europe is usually a nemoral forest species.
